Check if Instagram is down
Before troubleshooting your device, check if Instagram is experiencing a global outage. Visit status.meta.com or search "Instagram down" on X/Twitter.
Switch your internet connection
Toggle between WiFi and mobile data. If on WiFi, try mobile data. If on mobile data, try WiFi. Many loading issues are simply connection problems.
Force-close and reopen Instagram
On iPhone: swipe up from the bottom and swipe Instagram away. On Android: open Recent Apps and swipe Instagram away. Then reopen the app.
