How the guides on this site are researched, written, sourced and corrected.

Who writes these guides

Every article carries a named byline rather than a house name, and each writer owns a defined beat: privacy and account settings, content strategy and growth, the creator economy and analytics, or step-by-step troubleshooting. A guide is written by the person who covers that area, so a reader following one topic follows one voice.

Author pages list everything that writer has published here.

Where our facts come from

Claims about how Instagram, Threads or TikTok behave are sourced to the platform's own documentation wherever that documentation exists. Each guide ends with a Sources section linking the primary references it relies on — Instagram's Help Center, Instagram for Business, TikTok's Help Center and Creator Portal.

We link primary sources rather than other blogs. Where a platform has not documented a behaviour publicly, we say that the behaviour is undocumented rather than presenting an inference as a fact.

What we do not do

We do not publish claims about private accounts, private content, or ways to circumvent another person's privacy settings. Our tools only ever reach content the platform already serves publicly, and our guides reflect that limit.

We do not promise outcomes we cannot evidence — follower counts, guaranteed reach, or algorithmic favour. Where numbers appear, they are described as benchmarks or ranges, not predictions.

Keeping guides current

Instagram changes frequently, and a guide that was accurate last year may not be now. Articles carry a publish date and, where they have been revised, an updated date. When a platform change makes a guide wrong rather than merely incomplete, we revise the guide instead of leaving it up with a disclaimer.

Articles that no longer meet this standard are withdrawn rather than left published.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, we want to fix it. Report an error through our contact page, and include the article and the specific claim. Substantive corrections are made to the article itself and the updated date is changed.

Independence

ViewInsta is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or certified by Instagram, Threads, TikTok, or Meta Platforms, Inc. All trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Our guides are not commissioned or reviewed by any platform, and no platform has editorial input into what we publish.
